Part 1 of the blog on ‘Building a mindset for using AI in Marketing’ sets up a basis for building a mindset to unlock the potential of using AI in marketing. Part 2 of the blog will explain the four tips mentioned in Part 1:
Tip #1:Determine the areas where you lack resources.
Determine the areas where you lack resources and can’t afford to spend more on current marketing efforts or have a hard time convincing management of the ROI from the efforts. For example, hiring a video editor, a full-time content writer, or a website designer; experimentation budget etc. In addition, you could also identify areas where you are struggling with incremental returns, for example, email marketing.
Tip #2: Test AI software available for marketing.
Once you have listed the areas where you do not have (enough) resources or need to increase returns, turn to Google and start searching for AI tools in the areas where you need support. You would be surprised to see the number of AI and automation tools out there for different marketing purposes. I’ve personally found a few for content writing, which can assist in writing, checking grammar, checking plagiarism, and more. I’ll recommend a few in the future blogs.
Tip #3: Interact with your teams.
We do not need any justification for the power of teamwork. Socialize the areas where the marketing team needs to do more (identified in Tip #1) and align these areas to organizational objectives. Individuals or groups (in the case of larger teams) can research on the areas and come up with feasible solutions which can be implemented.
Tip #4: Take an online course.
Numerous online training providers exist in today’s market which offer e-learning courses for free. I have registered myself in many of them over the past years and they have helped in resetting my thought process in marketing. These courses are available on Coursera and Udemy.
